<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheets carrying method enabling to satisfactorily avoid the jamming of paper sheets in a blower tube when carrying the paper sheets with an air flow. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The paper sheets having deformed portions are fed into the blower tube 22 and carried with wind pressure on the deformed portions. When the paper sheets are jammed in the blower tube 22, the flow path area of the blower tube 22 is changed with a valve 204 opening/closing the tube path of the blower tube 22 to change the wind velocity of the air flow. Thus, the wind pressure on the paper sheets jammed in the blower tube 22 is changed to promote the movement of the paper sheets, avoiding the jamming of the paper sheets.
