<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial intervertebral disk insertion tool which compresses an artificial intervertebral disk with coil springs and credibly inserts and fixes the artificial intervertebral disk into and at a predetermined insertion position expanded slightly between the upper and lower corpus vertebrae. <P>SOLUTION: In the artificial intervertebral disk insertion tool, upper and lower supporting plates 1 and 1 support the artificial intervertebral disk 20 with coil springs by compressing the disk from the upper and lower sides using respective front ends 1a and 1a, a pusher 2 for supporting the artificial intervertebral disk 20 from behind is arranged between the upper and lower supporting plates 1 and 1 in such a way that the pusher is movable in the front and back direction, spring-receiving grooves 1b receiving the end parts 21a of the coil springs 21 are formed on opposing faces of the front ends 1a and 1a of the support plates, and slits 1c, through which guide pins 22 inserted into the coil springs of the artificial intervertebral disk pass, are formed on center lines on the bottom of the spring-receiving grooves. Stoppers 1e are provided on the supporting plates 1 and 1 so that the supporting plates are inserted for only a predetermined dimension. In addition, a right-angled hooked support arm 2c for fixing the position of the pusher 2 is provided to keep the artificial intervertebral disk 20 from displacing when drawing the front ends 1a and 1a of the support plates.
