<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition having excellent surface hardness, external appearance, and heat resistance and a molded article composed thereof. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic polyester resin (A), 1-200 pts.wt. acrylic resin (B), and 1-300 pts.wt. filler (C) containing at least one of zirconium silicate and silica and has a surface pencil hardness of HB or higher, and the molded article is composed of the resin composition. The above acrylic resin (B) is preferably a methacrylic resin having methyl methacrylate as the major component and has a syndiotacticity of not less than 35% and/or an isotacticity of not more than 20%.
