<p>A three-dimensional object display controller which can freely rotate a three-dimensional object displayed on a screen by intuitive operation. A computer system (10) has a computer (12), a display (14), and a rotation information input device (20). The rotation information input device (20) has a ball (22), three legs (24) which rotatably support the ball (22), and a camera (26) which photographs the ball (22). The computer (12) selects two feature points from the image of the ball (22) photographed by the camera (26) and sets two-dimensional coordinates on the image of the feature points. While tracking the feature points, the two-dimensional coordinates are sampled and converted to three-dimensional coordinates on the surface of the ball (22). Then, a rotation matrix expressing the rotation of the ball (22) is calculated on the basis of the three-dimensional coordinates, and the respective vertex coordinates of the three-dimensional object displayed on the display (14) are multiplied by the rotation matrix to obtain the respective vertex coordinates of the three-dimensional object after rotation.</p> |
