RELAY STATION IN RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND OPERATING METHOD FOR THE RELAY STATION

A method for operating a relay station in a radio communication system comprises: a step for obtaining the information about an allocated sub-frame among plural sub-frames, a step for monitoring a PDCCH (Physical Downlink Control Channel) that delivers information about the radio resource allocation in the allocated sub-frame; and a step for receiving data from a base station based on the radio resource allocation of the monitored PDCCH. The relay station can be operated to secure compatibility with a previous terminal in the radio communication system. In addition, the radio resource allocation method is defined between the base station and the relay station.
