The pin (9) has a hole or a shell-like recess into which a soldering agent is pressed in a pear-shape. The soldering agent laterally comes from both planes of the pin. A material connection is made between contact pin walls and front walls (7, 8) of upper and lower conducting paths (3, 4) of a multi-layer conductor plate (1) during heating at soldering agent melting temperature, where the conducting paths end into a borehole (2). The pin is made of solderable metal, where the pin exhibits width equal or smaller than dimension of the borehole. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a contact pin.
