<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus that saves a user selecting a color of an opposite part placed at an opposing position of a reading part in a batch scan or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The image reading apparatus includes a reading part 16 for reading an image of an original document fed through a feeding path, an opposite part 19, having a plurality of colors, on which one of the plurality of colors can be placed at a position opposing to the reading part across the feeding path, a driving means 18 for driving the opposite part 19, a determination means 12 for determining a color to be placed at the position opposing to the reading part 16 according to the fed original document, and a control means 12 for controlling the driving means 18 such that the color determined with the determining means 12 is placed at the position opposing to the reading part 16 to drive the opposite part 19. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
