PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an automatic train operation which stops a train safely at a speed lower than the speed of overrun protection pattern without causing an operation delay. SOLUTION: An ATO section 11 calculates an ORP pattern in response to an ORP trigger signal and generates a target deceleration pattern which is lower than the ORP pattern (step S208), and then outputs a brake command so that a train runs and stops according to the target deceleration pattern (step S209, S210).
