<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To proliferate merozoites of immortalized mammalian cells in vitro. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A method for continuously culturing obligate intracellular Protozoa, Sporozoea class, in a developmental assexual reproduction period is provided to solve the problem. The method comprises following processes: a process for providing a cell culture system containing immortalized host cells suitable for proliferating Sporozoea sp.; a process for bringing the host cells into contact with the Sporozoea sp. in an infection step under effective conditions relating to infection of the host cells; and a process for bringing proliferation of the merozoites to the host cells (wherein, the host cells are able to take the Protozoa by phagocytosis).
