<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-grade high-density woven fabric which has high-grade gloss, excellent colorability, and suitable tension and stiffness, gives rich soft swollen feeling and fresh feeling, and is suitable for uses such as coats and blousons having proper moisture-absorbing properties and giving comfortable wear feelings. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The high-density woven fabric uses the composite yarns of polyester-based yarns with thermoplastic cellulosic filaments having an official moisture regain of not more than 8%, as at least warps, uses polyester-based filaments as wefts, and has a total cover factor (√dTex* yarns/2.54 cm) of not less than 3,000.
