<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame-retardant thermoplastic polyester resin composition excellent in injection moldability and heat resistance, and to provide molded articles useful as a machine mechanism element, electric or electronic parts and automotive parts. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The flame-retardant thermoplastic polyester resin composition is obtained by blending 100 pts.wt. of a mixture of (A) 5-95 wt.% of a thermoplastic polyester resin and (B) 95-5 wt.% of an aromatic polycarbonate resin with (C) 1-70 pts.wt. of a phosphorus flame retardant and (D) 0.01-5 pts.wt. of a transesterification inhibitor, wherein the thermoplastic polyester resin (A) and the aromatic polycarbonate resin (B) form a two-phase co-continuous structure having a structural period of 0.01-1 μm or a sea-island structure having a dispersion diameter of 0.01-1 μm.
