PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which announces the degree of the expectation that a winning game is carried out in each performance understandably to players and makes the players strongly expect that a performance with a higher degree of expectation is carried out. SOLUTION: The degree of the expectation that a jackpot game is carried out is allocated to each of four specific ready-to-win performances. When a variation pattern in which the specific ready-to-win performance is carried out is decided, four corresponding symbols 101 to 104 indicating characters appearing in each of the specific ready-to-win performances are displayed on a display screen 28 in a specific order according to the allocated degrees of expectation. With the operation of an operating button by the players, one of the four corresponding symbols 101 to 104 is chosen in accordance with the result of a jackpot determination and the appropriated degree of expectation, and the specific ready-to-win performance of the character indicated in the chosen corresponding symbol is carried out.
