<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aberration correction liquid crystal element for sufficiently correcting a spherical aberration, astigmatism, and coma aberrations in a tangential direction and a radial direction. <P>SOLUTION: One 32 of a pair of electrodes 32 and 29 holding a liquid crystal layer of a liquid crystal element 8 is divided into a circular inner peripheral part and a ring-shaped outer peripheral part. The outer peripheral part of one electrode 32 is used for correcting astigmatism, and further divided into a plurality of electrode segments 32j to 32q arranged in a circumferential direction. The inner peripheral part of one electrode is used for correcting coma aberrations, and includes a plurality of electrode segments 32b to 32j arranged in the circumferential direction. The other one 29 of the pair of electrodes is used for correcting spherical aberrations, and includes a plurality of electrode segments 29a to 29e divided by a plurality of concentric circular division lines. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
