<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material analyzer for conveniently inspecting whether a product can cope with an European RoHS directive in a manufacturing line or a product form at a high speed, and screening the product exceeding a regulation value. <P>SOLUTION: The material analyzer 1000 includes: a combined microwave and plasma generation means 1003 for assisting a microplasma generated by a high voltage discharge from a spark plug with microwave energy, and converting at least a portion of a to-be-measured object into a plasma; and a spectroscopic analysis means. The plasma is generated by the plasma generation means. At least a portion of the to-be-measured object is converted into the plasma.
