<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mounting structure and method for mounting an exterior panel and furring strips on an exterior wall body stably in the same process. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The exterior panel 31 and the furring strips 40 are horizontally mounted on the exterior wall body 34 of a building 33. The exterior panel 31 is provided with a projecting part 35, a fixing part 36, and a recessed part 37 on an upper end face 31a, a rear surface 31b, and a lower end face 31c, respectively. The furring strips 40 are composed of a top face 40a and both of side faces 40b and are formed per exterior panel 31. A locking part 45 to be locked in the fixing part 36 of the exterior panel 31 is formed by a horizontal part 45a and a vertical part 45b in an upper end part 40c of the top face 40a of the furring strips 40. The exterior panel 31 is mounted on the exterior wall body 34 by overlapping it from above the exterior panel 31 mounted in advance while the furring strips 40 are suspended in the fixing part 36 of the exterior panel 31 through the locking part 45.
