<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tubular knitted fabric designed so that a tubular part of the tubular knitted fabric can finely and simply be tightened and narrowed down without requiring a post-process, and to provide a method for knitting the knitted fabric. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The tubular knitted fabric is obtained by: a step of knitting the tubular knitted fabric to be a base knitted fabric part; a step of disposing a knitting yarn for pulling so as to close or narrow down the formed tubular part in the peripheral direction; and a step of carrying out an anti-fraying processing at the end of the tubular knitted fabric after disposing the knitting yarns for pulling, using a flat knitting machine having at least a pair of a front and a rear needle beds in which the front and the rear needle beds are configured so that relative racking is carried out.
