<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of modifying a thiol group. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method of modifying a thiol group comprises a step of providing a first substance containing at least one sulfhydryl group; a step of providing a second substance containing at least one thiourea group; and a step of reacting the first compound with the second compound in the presence of a copper (II) ion to form an easily reducible disulfide bond between the sulfhydryl group and the thiourea group in a short time.
