<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an exterior member showing a highly qualified and calm feeling. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The exterior member is manufactured by giving a decorative pattern to a surface of a body of a synthetic resin-made member. The method comprises a ground treatment process S2 of removing an impurity adhering to the surface of the member body, a pattern-adding process (picture pasting process S3) of giving a decorative pattern to the surface of the member body after the ground treatment process S2, a base coat application process S5 of applying the base coat on the surface of the member body after the pattern-adding process, and Japanese lacquer application processes S8 and S11 of applying the Japanese lacquer after the base coat application process S5.
