A method for marketing an artificial surface for application at an airport installed adjacent to a runway/taxiway includes: (i) causing advertising to be displayed on the artificial surface; (ii) obtaining revenue for causing the display of the advertising; and (iii) selling/installing the artificial surface at a discounted price in exchange for receiving at least a portion of the advertising revenue.
