<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly capture a radiographic image. <P>SOLUTION: When image information representing the radiographic image has been generated by a radiation detector, a bit error rate in communication is detected via a communication cable (150), and it is determined that the communication cable is unplugged from a connection terminal (152). When it is determined that the communication cable is not unplugged from the connection terminal, the image information representing the radiographic image is transmitted to a console via the communication cable (156).
