PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of displacing a reflection mirror part into a storage state without touching it. SOLUTION: In a retina scanning type display device, its outgoing radiation device can be displaced between a use position during its use and a non-use position during its non-use. The retina scanning type display device includes a driving mechanism for displacing a reflection mirror from a use state during use into the storage state during non-use in conjunction with the operation for displacing the outgoing radiation device from the use position into the non-use position.
