<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display that reduces a flicker. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display has first and second substrates which have a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix form and are disposed opposite each other with a liquid crystal layer interposed, a first electrode formed in a planar shape at least in each pixel on the first substrate side, and a plurality of second linear electrodes formed above the first electrode with a first insulating layer interposed and overlapping with the first electrode by the pixels, and drives the liquid crystal layer with an electric field produced by the first electrode and the second electrodes, wherein a third linear electrode is held at the same potential with the first electrode, formed in the same layer with the second electrodes, and disposed between the second electrodes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
