<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide final sterilization associated with an aqueous, sterile pharmaceutical composition suitable for parenteral administration for treating cardiac conditions. <P>SOLUTION: The aqueous, sterile pharmaceutical composition suitable for parenteral administration for treating cardiac conditions is provided. The composition including methyl-3-[4-(2-hydroxy-3-isopropylamino)propoxy]phenyl propionate hydrochloride (esmolol hydrochloride), a buffer agent and an osmotic control agent, and a method for producing the same are disclosed. The composition has a pH between 3.5 and 6.5 and contains a 0.1-500 mg/mL methyl-3-[4-(2-hydroxy-3-isopropylamino)propoxy]phenyl propionate hydrochloride (esmolol hydrochloride), 0.01-2 M buffer agent and 1-500 mg/mL osmotic control agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
