<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication device and a method, which can reduce processing burdens during frame retransmission or the like through space multiplexing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The wireless communication device includes: a user selection part for selecting a first user group including users to be multiplexed together with the destination user of a new frame before the transmission of the new frame and selecting a second user group including different users who can be multiplexed together with the users who belong to the first user group; and a transmission part for multiplexing the users who belong to the second user group together with the user of the retransmission destination and transmitting a plurality of second frames including a retransmission frame when multiplexing the first user group, transmitting a plurality of first frames including the new frame and then performing retransmission with any user of the first user group set as a retransmission destination.
