<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a wax used for a coated aluminum sheet which is used for a cap of a container typified by a bottle-type beverage can, withstands friction in drawing, and avoids roughening and peeling of its resin coat. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The production method includes: putting a wax comprising two kinds of dry carnauba wax and dry polyethylene wax into a dry ball mill; pulverizing and mixing the wax so that an average particle diameter of ≤100 μm is attained; and performing heating to a temperature from a melting point of the polyethylene wax to 300°C, melting and mixing, while keeping the mass of water ≤10% relative to the total mass of the wax.
