<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control apparatus capable of switching operation modes without complicatedness. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The remote control apparatus 1 includes two or more operation modes corresponding to every one of two or more operation subjects. The remote control apparatus 1 has a detection unit 5 for detecting a postural direction and a gradient of the apparatus body, and a control unit 6 for switching the operation mode to a specific one of these two or more operation modes in this constitution on the basis of the results of the detection unit 5.
