The internal combustion engine (1) has a control disk, which is pivoted in a cylindrical head (6). The cylindrical head forms a combustion chamber with two cylinders arranged in rows. An opening of an inlet control channel and an opening of an outlet control channel are arranged in a control disk base of the control disk concentric to the cylinders.
