<p>The subject of the invention is a method of treating a thin-walled plastic container, the said container having residual stresses resulting from its manufacture from a preform, having been hot-filled with a liquid content and stoppered then cooled once filled and stoppered, and being intended to undergo stress relief by a heat treatment, characterized in that it comprises a step prior to the heat treatment step and which consists in applying a mechanical force to the external surface of the thin wall of the container deformed by the hot-filling in order to generate an internal pressure to compensate at least for the vacuum to which it is subjected and return it to its initial shape. The invention also covers an associated device for implementing the said method.</p> |
