<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce waiting time when an image processor recovers from a standby state while reducing power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A main control part of this image processor counts the number of execution of functions related to a job to be written in a use frequency table whenever the job is executed. When the image processor is placed in a standby state, the main control part refers to the use frequency table to select a function with the highest use frequency. When the function with the highest use frequency is a scan function, power supply to an image formation part having a fixing part is stopped.
