<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid repeated forward and backward movement of a vehicle by preventing repeated torque limit control in locking a motor installed as a power source of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: When a motor rotational speed Nm is within a lock determination rotational range, it is previously predicted whether or not there is possibility that the motor may be locked depending on whether an accelerator opening Acc is smaller than a lock prediction determination opening. When it is predicted that the motor may be locked, a variation ΔTm (upward gradient) per calculation period (per unit time) of the motor command torque Tm is decreased more as a deviation of a lock determination torque Tmlck from the motor command torque Tm becomes smaller in increasing a motor command torque Tm, thereby controlling the motor command torque Tm so as to be maintained at the lock determination torque Tmlck or lower as much as possible.
