METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COLOR FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing color filter which is excellent in planarity of a colored layer and includes few color mixing defects.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing color filter includes a drying step of evacuating and drying a color filter substrate having a substrate, a light-shielding part which is formed on the substrate and includes an opening part and an undried colored layer prepared by coating the opening part, made of coating liquid for forming a colored layer by using a thermal evacuating and drying device until a pressure in the device comes to the condensation preventive pressure, wherein the condensation preventive pressure is a pressure lower than a first equilibrium pressure that is an equilibrium pressure of the first time observed when evacuating and drying the color filter substrate.
