<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate capable of satisfying high durability, and a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizing plate includes protective films on both sides of a polarizer formed by dyeing a polyvinyl alcohol film with iodine. In the polarizing plate, the ratio T<SB>2</SB>/T<SB>1</SB>of the maximum peak intensity T<SB>1</SB>in a range of 105±5 cm<SP>-1</SP>by a Raman spectroscopy in a central part in the thickness direction of the polarizer section and the maximum peak intensity T<SB>2</SB>in a range of 105±5 cm<SP>-1</SP>by a Raman spectroscopy at the end part in the thickness direction of the polarizer is 0.920 to 0.985. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
