<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crown type retainer capable of eliminating the deficiency of a lubricating oil and capable of retaining balls in a good condition. <P>SOLUTION: To retain a plurality of balls 3 of a ball bearing rotatably freely, a plurality of pockets 7 opened to one side in the axial direction are formed in the circumferential direction.
