<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a word alignment apparatus whose recall rate and accuracy are improved. <P>SOLUTION: The word alignment apparatus 200 includes: a word-to-word dictionary 208 which stores words and their translations, and words and their explanatory translations; an input unit 202 for inputting example sentence-translation pairs each of which consists of an example sentence and its translation; a morphological analysis unit 204 for subjecting the input example sentence-translation pairs to morphological analysis; a dictionary-based alignment unit 210 for aligning, based on the word-to-word dictionary, words in the example sentence-translation pairs extracted by the morphological analysis; a word notation-based alignment unit 214 for aligning words not aligned by the dictionary-based alignment unit 210; a many-to-many alignment unit 218; a two-part graph-based alignment unit 220; and an output unit 222 for outputting the results of aligning the words. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
