<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily create an expressive e-mail text using a pictogram. <P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal device includes: an operation part 201 to which a user performs input; a storage part 23 which stores a pictogram consisting of image; a display part 101 which displays a character string input to the operation part; and an external connection part 22 which performs connection with an external device.
