<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a manufacturing method capable of shortening the processing time, increasing the heating rate, and sintering at a lower temperature than conventionally upon heating a ceramic body. <P>SOLUTION: A ceramic body sintering device includes: an irradiation device 12 defining a monomode microwave heating chamber; a thermal insulation structure 16 disposed within the chamber; a susceptor 20 disposed within the thermal insulation structure 16 and having a lower microwave coupling temperature than the ceramic body; the ceramic body 22 arranged adjacent to the susceptor 20; a magnetron 24; and a temperature measurement device 28.
