PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that heated wind generated in a driving means of a deflector 22 of an optical scanning apparatus 11 thermally deforms a wall 27 facing to the deflector, thus an optical box 26 in which the wall 27 is formed as a unit is deformed, the positions of the deflector 22 and optical lenses 23, 24 are dislocated, as a result, a line written in a photosensitive drum is shifted from an ideal line, bent and tilted. SOLUTION: A wind shield member 29 is disposed between the wall 27 and a polygon mirror 22 for blocking the heated wind, the wind shield member 29 is provided so that the thermal deformation of the wind shield member 29 does not cause the deformation of the optical box 26.
