<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion concentration measuring instrument capable of detecting the concentration or ion balance of positive and negative ions by an extremely simple circuit constitution. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The gate of MOSFET 101 wherein an ion detecting resistor 102 is connected across a gate and a source is connected to at least one of a pair of electrodes 11 and 12 to which voltage is applied by a DC power supply 109, for example, the electrode 11 and a Wheatstone bridge is constituted of the ion detecting resistor 102 between the drain and the source and other resistors 105, 106 and 104A. The DC power supply 109 is connected to the input terminal of the bridge and the concentration of positive ions is measured from the output voltage of a differential amplifying circuit comprising the operational amplifier 110 or the like connected to the output terminal of the bridge.
