<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for a portable tool that can perform a stable function even in a dust stirred up working environment without causing a malfunction. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The holder includes a stopper which is held slidably by a holder body 2 via an elastic member: wherein the stopper prevents a bracket 1 inserted into a groove 2c from being pulled out of the holder body by means of the resilience of an elastic means that brings the upper part 1b of the bracket 1 with the holder body, but that enables the bracket 1 to be pulled out only by releasing the contact with the upper part 1b of the bracket 1 while maintaining the contraction of the elastic means. The elastic means includes: an elastic body, one end of which engages with the stopper and the other end with a seat part; and a concave portion having the seat part engaging with the other end of this elastic body and forming space in which the elastic body itself combined with the stopper is incorporated, the concave portion having a hole for forcibly discharging dusts entering from outside to the outer environment.
