<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a taper processing tool of an insert detachable type wherein an insert whose blade has receded by repeated regrinding can be used and cost reduction can be implemented. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a taper reamer 1 carrying out taper processing on a workpiece, a rectangular flat-shaped insert 20 is equipped detachably on an insert mounting seat 12 formed at the peripheral end of the tool body in such a way that one rectangular end of the insert faces toward the tip side of the tool body 2 with the blade 24 protruding outside in the tool diametrical direction, and that inclines gradually to approach an axis line when the insert proceeds from the rear side to the tip side of the tool body 2; whereas a carbide plate (spacer) 30 abutting to the insert 20 is replaceably mounted inside the insert mounting seat 20 in the tool diametrical direction along the longitudinal direction of the insert 20.
