The method involves heating a sheet steel at a temperature above an austenitization temperature. The heated sheet steel is deformed in a molding tool. The sheet steel is finely shaped in another molding tool. The sheet steel is strongly cooled at respective temperatures in the molding tools. The cooled sheet steel is hardened. A cooling process of the sheet steel is locally adjusted by selectively intervening heat transmission from the sheet steel to the molding tools. An inlet is provided in a cavity of a contact surface.
