The part i.e. cover-like heat shield (10), has a function layer (14) designed as a covering layer, and another function layer (24) designed as an insulation layer provided over a contact surface. A common edge region (30) is partially formed with the former layer. A sealing is provided for preservation of an edge protection of the edge region, where the sealing consists of an adhesive active medium such as resin, glue, silicone or latex. The latter layer consists of an insulating material formed from an insulation foam or a fiber material of a glass fiber fleece or a silicate fleece. The function layer is made of a sheet metal material. The sealing consists of a lamination under utilization of a foil material formed from aluminum foil.
