PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive lever driving mechanism allowing its excellent operation feeling to be easily maintained by preventing deterioration of slidability of a presser relative to a guide surface for a long time. SOLUTION: In this lever driving mechanism, a synthetic resin presser 3 to be inserted into a housing part 6b of a holder 6 and to be energized by a coil spring 5 is brought into elastic contact with a guide surface 9a in a freely reciprocating manner. Accompanying the tilting of the holder 6 by imparting an operating force, the presser 3 is driven by the holder 6 so as to slide on the guide surface 9a; and the tip of the presser 3 is provided with a groove 3a, which extends along the reciprocating direction of the presser 3, and this groove 3a is formed as a lubricating agent reservoir.
