<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flooring material which can be easily installed on a flexible mat member, and which can reduce manufacturing costs. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The flooring material 5 is used to change a flexible floor, in which a carpet 3 as the flexible mat member is attached to a sub-floor material 2, to a rigid floor. The flooring material 5 comprises a flooring material body 6 which is formed of wood etc. as a rigid material, and a plurality of leg members 10 which are mounted on the undersurface 6B of the flooring material body 6 and protruded downward from the undersurface 6B. A needle portion 10D as a first intruding portion, which is provided on the lower portion of the cylindrical portion 10A of each of the leg members 10, can intrude into the carpet 3 from above and reach the inside of the sub-floor material 2.
