<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device capable of operating a plurality of on-vehicle apparatuses by a simple operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: One or more of the plurality of on-vehicle apparatuses mounted on a vehicle are collectively handled as one apparatus group. For example, a window control device 56 and a door locking device 57 are handled as one apparatus group to be operated during the "child mode", and the operation to the apparatus group is received by a "child mode" selection switch of a switch unit 14. The operating device 10 prohibits the opening/closing operation of a rear window by the window control device 56 included in the apparatus group corresponding to the "child mode", and prohibits the opening operation from the inner side of a rear door by the door locking device 57.
