<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective discrimination means simply and highly accurately estimating the skin transparency in a discrimination method of the skin transparency. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This discrimination method of the skin transparency using a sensory evaluation profile uses two or more items selected from items of the sensory evaluation profile such as "moisture", "fineness", "firmness", "radiancy", "whiteness", "complexion" and "mottling" or uses an estimate equation composed of the items. This method, previously, lays the importance on the relationship between the skin transparency and the items (composed of items such as the moisture, whiteness of the skin, the complexion and the mottling of the skin) of the face parts (preferably, the cheeks) of a plurality of subjects, and digitizes the degrees of the dullness of the skin and the transparent brightness visually evaluated by a plurality of skilled evaluators, so as to easily and highly accurately evaluate it (a skin transparency evaluation equation) by a multivariate analysis of the skin transparency using two types or more items selected from the items of the sensory evaluation profile.
