MULTIPLEX MODE DIELECTRIC RESONATOR, AND ADJUSTING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiplex mode dielectric resonator capable of easily adjusting desired frequency characteristic through a comparatively simple structure without increasing transmission loss. SOLUTION: The multiplex mode dielectric resonator is provided with a column type dielectric resonator body 10, fixed in a cavity surrounded by a conductor and provided with a side surface structure 10a for exciting a plurality of resonation modes and a dielectric adjusting piece 14 arranged so as to be opposed to the upper surface or a bottom surface of the dielectric resonator body 10 and constituted so as to be turnable with respect to a rotary axis in the direction of central axis of the dielectric resonator body 10. The dielectric adjusting piece 14 is provided with unsymmetrical configuration with respect to a rotary axis in a plane orthogonal to the rotary axis and the frequency characteristic can be adjusted optimally by adjusting an angleθby turning the dielectric adjusting piece 14 by a supporting rod 15.
