PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an O-ring molding method and an O-ring molding apparatus for the method using a so-called cold pot molding method that can provide an O-ring of predetermined quality causing no dispersion in the strength of the O-ring as a product, take out the O-ring without leaving it stuck to the upper die side when taking out the O-ring from a die, which results in automating O-ring take-out and cutting processes and attaining continuous operation and cost reduction. SOLUTION: The O-ring molding method is carried out by heating and softening a molding material within a temperature range that does not impede the flow state of the molding material, to inject the molding material into the die. The O-ring is molded using the die in which the gate thickness D of an injection gate communicating with a product cavity of O-ring shape of the die is 0.08 mm or less. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
