PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape type disposable diaper which can be put on in the state of extending a back side extension/contraction part so as to obtain sufficient fitness. SOLUTION: Such a structure is adopted that at least a part of the body part 5b of a fixing tape 5 is configured as an extension/contraction part to be elastically extended/contracted in a width direction, a width direction center part of the waist side part of a back side part 40 is configured as the back side extension/contraction part 40 to be elastically extended/contracted in the width direction, and tensile stress in elastic deformation at the back side extension/contraction part 40 is weaker than tensile stress in the elastic deformation at the extension/contraction part of the fixing tape 5.
