<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize temperature rise at the coil end and of the lead wire. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The housing 9 of a rotary electric machine 1 includes a hole 12 in the axial direction of the rotary electric machine 1. The hole 12 is interconnected with a drawing pipe 14 through which a lead wire 13 is drawn out from the winding 4 of the rotary electric machine 1. One or more lead wires 13 are drawn out, respectively, from the coil ends 5a and 5b.
